What is Multifactor Authentication (MFA)?
Multifactor authentication adds an extra layer of security to your online account. It requires you to provide two or more verification factors to confirm your identity when you log in. This means that even if someone knows your password, they won't be able to access your account without also having access to your second verification method.
Why is MFA Important?
In today's digital landscape, cyber threats are becoming increasingly sophisticated. Without MFA, your account is more vulnerable to unauthorized access. Here are some potential risks if you don't enable MFA:
- Unauthorized Access to Your Personal Information: This could include your contact details, beneficiary information, and other sensitive data stored in your TRSGA account.
- Financial Fraud: While TRSGA has robust security measures in place, unauthorized access could potentially lead to attempts to change direct deposit information or other financial details.
- Account Lockout and Recovery Hassle: If a malicious actor gains access to your account and changes your password, you could face significant delays and inconvenience in recovering your account.
- Identity Theft: Compromised personal information can be used for identity theft, leading to potential financial losses and damage to your credit.
How to Enroll in MFA:
